Through the “Azadi Convention,” the Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation at the University of Poonch has completed the election of its new cabinet for the next two years. According to the election results, Aman Habib was elected Central Chairman of the University of Poonch, Hanan Zahid as Vice Chairman, Daniyal Faizi as General Secretary, Samar Ishaq as Deputy General Secretary, Mahnoor Aslam as Organizer, Mehreen Nisa Akhtar as In charge of the Study Circle, Mehak Zahid as Media Secretary, and Hamza Shahid as Finance Secretary.
The announcement of the newly elected cabinet was made by former Chairman of JKNSF University of Poonch, Adil Farooq, during the “Azadi Convention” held at a private hall in Rawalakot. Following the announcement, Adil Farooq administered the oath to the new office bearers and formally entrusted them with their responsibilities for the upcoming two-year term.
On the occasion, Adil Farooq expressed confidence that the new cabinet would not only uphold the long standing traditions of JKNSF and carry out its duties with dedication, but would also respond to the changing demands of the time. He stated that the cabinet is expected to actively struggle for the resolution of students’ issues within the university, the restoration of student unions, the complete freedom and sovereignty of Jammu and Kashmir, and the establishment of a classless society, while grounding these efforts in the principles of modern scientific socialism.
